Pisces Mythology

Zodiac Sign of PiscesIn mythology, the constellation of Pisces has been known since the early Greek and Roman times.

According to a Greek myth, Typhon, a monstrous god, wanted to over throw Zeus and his entire court of gods. So evil and brutal was Typhon that he caused the immortal gods and followers of Zeus to flee. Zeus remained alone and eventually was victorious over Typhon in battle.

Another ancient myth tells us that one day Aphrodite and her son Eros were walking along a riverbank when they saw the monstrous god, Typhon. As quickly as they could, they dove into the water and took the form of fishes. They tied a rope around themselves so they would not loose each other. They are immortalized as the Northern fish and the Western fish of Pisces. Thus, the two fishes.

Such a person, being the master over heaven and earth, by means of his will, is a Magus, and magic is not sorcery but supreme wisdom."
