What Zodiacology Is
Zodiacology is a structured approach to studying the natal chart and the relationships among its many components. It begins with foundational elements such as signs, planets, houses, aspects, elements, and modalities, then expands into chart structure, synthesis, timing methods, specialized branches, and other areas of astrological study.
The goal is not simply to collect individual meanings. It is to learn how chart factors interact, recognize larger patterns, and gradually develop the skills needed to interpret Your Zodiacal Configuration as an interconnected whole.
Zodiacology’s Astrological Framework
Zodiacology is built primarily within the framework of Western astrology. It interprets the natal chart using the tropical zodiac and calculates houses using the Placidus house system. Unless a page states otherwise, this is the framework used throughout Zodiacology’s educational material and in the Free Natal Chart.
Astrology includes many other traditions, schools, and calculation systems. These include Indian (Vedic) astrology (Jyotisha), Chinese astrology, and other approaches within Western astrology, as well as house systems such as Whole Sign and the Equal House system. Zodiacology may refer to these traditions and systems for historical, comparative, or educational context, but it does not treat them as interchangeable with the framework used for its own chart interpretation.
What Zodiacology Is Not
Zodiacology does not present astrology as fortune-telling, psychic prediction, fixed fate, or a system in which the stars determine what must happen in your life. Even when timing techniques or specialized branches of astrology are discussed, they are presented as interpretive frameworks rather than guarantees of specific events or outcomes.
Instead, Zodiacology uses the natal chart and related astrological methods as symbolic tools for reflection, study, and pattern recognition. They may help you explore tendencies, tensions, strengths, recurring themes, and periods of emphasis, but they should not replace personal judgment, responsibility, professional advice, or lived experience.

The Meaning of Your Zodiacal Configuration
Your Zodiacal Configuration is the larger symbolic pattern formed by the relationship between the parts of the natal chart. It is not one sign, one planet, one house, or one placement.
Zodiacology uses this phrase to describe the chart as a whole. The signs, planets, houses, aspects, and patterns work together to create a more complete symbolic picture than any single chart factor can provide by itself.

Zodiacology is designed to support reflection, curiosity, and informed self-exploration.
